Our French Film Series screening of THE COUNT OF MONTE-CRISTO (Le Comte de Monte-Cristo) is in partnership with Alliance Française de Philadelphie who will be celebrating the 180th anniversary of Alexander Dumas’ groundbreaking novel.

This French big screen adaptation of Alexander Dumas’ classic piece of world literature is a lavish action-adventure that follows the story of Edmond Dantès who is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. Spending 14 years imprisoned on an island, he escapes and assumes the identity of the Count of Monte-Cristo, exacting revenge on those who wronged him.
