The Lovers on the Bridge

In this intoxicating and innovative romance from director Leos Carax, an un-housed artist on the brink of losing her sight crosses paths with a street performer, their whirlwind romance unfolding on Paris’ iconic Pont Neuf bridge. French icons Juliette Binoche and Denis Lavant give mesmerizing, go-for-broke performances in their roles as the star-crossed lovers, and are rendered in Jean-Yves Escoffier’s gorgeous cinematography.
